Cookie Policy

Effective May 18, 2026 — Last Updated May 18, 2026

This cookie policy (the "Cookie Policy") describes how Dockside Fuel Services, LLC ("Dockside") uses cookies and similar technologies on docksidefuelservices.com and any related pages or portals (collectively, the "Site"). This Cookie Policy supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, Dockside’s privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy"). Capitalized terms not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Cookie Policy. Where consent to non-essential Cookies is required under applicable law, your consent is obtained through the Cookie banner displayed when you first visit the Site, and you may change your preferences at any time as described in Section 6.

1. What Are Cookies?

"Cookies" are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit the website. Cookies allow the website to recognize your device, remember information about your visit, and operate properly.

In this Cookie Policy, Cookies also includes related technologies that perform similar functions, including: (a) pixels and web beacons, which are small graphic files embedded in web pages or emails that allow tracking of activity such as page views or email opens; (b) software development kits (SDKs), which are code libraries integrated into applications that may transmit information about device usage; (c) local storage objects (such as HTML5 local storage and IndexedDB), which store information directly in your browser; and (d) similar technologies used for purposes comparable to Cookies.

Cookies may be classified by who places them: (a) first-party Cookies are set directly by Dockside or by services operating under Dockside’s control on the Site; and (b) third-party Cookies are set by third parties whose services are integrated into the Site, such as Dockside’s payment processor or analytics provider. Cookies may also be classified by duration: (a) session Cookies expire when you close your browser; and (b) persistent Cookies remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them.

2. Categories of Cookies Used

Dockside and its service providers use the categories of Cookies summarized in the table below. The legal basis for each category, including whether your consent is required before the Cookie may be set, depends on the law applicable to you.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary Cookies are required for the Site to function, for you to log into your customer portal account, to submit a reservation, to process payments through Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), to maintain Site security, and to prevent fraud. These Cookies do not require your consent and cannot be disabled through the Cookie banner. If you block strictly necessary Cookies through your browser settings, parts of the Site (including the customer portal, the registration funnel, and payment functionality) may not work.

2.2 Functional Cookies

Functional Cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering preferences. They do not track your activity across other websites. Disabling functional Cookies may degrade the convenience of using the Site but generally will not prevent core functions from working.

2.3 Performance and Analytics Cookies

Performance and analytics Cookies help Dockside understand how the Site is used in the aggregate so that Dockside can improve it. They typically collect information in aggregated form and are not used to identify individual users. Disabling analytics Cookies will not affect Site functionality.

2.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

Marketing and advertising Cookies, if and when used by Dockside, are used to measure the effectiveness of marketing communications and may, in limited cases, support cross-context behavioral advertising (sometimes referred to as targeted advertising). Where Dockside uses any such Cookies, your consent is required, and you may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 6. Depending on how applicable state law defines "sale" or "share," your interactions with marketing Cookies may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information, and you may opt out as described in Section 6 and in the Privacy Policy.

3. Third-Party Cookies and Service Providers

Certain Cookies on the Site are set by third-party service providers that support Dockside’s operations. These third parties may include:

  • Stripe, Dockside’s payment processor, which sets Cookies for fraud prevention and to process payments;
  • Site hosting and platform providers, which set Cookies used to deliver and secure the Site;
  • analytics providers, which set Cookies used to measure Site performance and usage;
  • communications and chat providers, which may set Cookies used to operate the registration chat and other interactive features; and
  • marketing and advertising providers, which, if and when engaged by Dockside, may set Cookies used for marketing measurement or targeted advertising.

These third parties may collect information through their Cookies in accordance with their own privacy and cookie practices. Dockside does not control, and is not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third parties. A current list of the specific Cookies set on the Site is provided in Section 7.

4. Information Collected Through Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies may collect or process information about you, including: (a) device and browser information such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language preferences; (b) usage information such as pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on the Site, referring URLs, exit pages, and dates and times of access; (c) approximate location information derived from IP address; (d) authenticated session information for users logged into the customer portal; (e) payment-session information used by Stripe for fraud prevention; and (f) preference information such as Cookie consent choices and saved Site settings.

Dockside’s use of information collected through Cookies is governed by the Privacy Policy.

5. Legal Basis for Using Cookies

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential Cookies, Dockside obtains your consent through the Cookie banner displayed when you first visit the Site. Strictly necessary Cookies are used in reliance on Dockside’s legitimate interests in operating, securing, and maintaining the Site and providing the services you have requested, and do not require your consent.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

6.1 Cookie Banner and Preference Center

When you first visit the Site (and periodically thereafter, as required by applicable law), a Cookie banner allows you to accept, reject, or customize non-essential Cookies. You may change your Cookie preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" or similar link displayed in the footer of the Site.

6.2 Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block Cookies through browser settings. Instructions for managing Cookies in commonly used browsers are available at the following resources: Google Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647); Mozilla Firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer); Apple Safari (https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471); and Microsoft Edge (https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge). If you choose to block strictly necessary Cookies through browser settings, parts of the Site may not work.

6.3 Mobile Device Controls

Mobile device operating systems provide controls for managing advertising identifiers and tracking on a device-wide basis. On iOS devices, you may manage these settings under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android devices, you may manage these settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path may vary by manufacturer and version).

6.4 Global Privacy Control

Dockside honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC), a browser-based opt-out preference signal, as a valid request to opt out of any "sale" or "share" of personal information (as those terms are defined under applicable state law) for the browser and device on which it is enabled. For instructions on enabling GPC, visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org.

6.5 Industry Opt-Out Tools

You may also use industry-provided tools to opt out of certain interest-based advertising at the following resources: the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info), the Network Advertising Initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org), and the European Digital Advertising Alliance (https://www.youronlinechoices.com). These tools rely on Cookies stored in your browser and will not work if you regularly clear Cookies or use a different browser or device.

6.6 Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal indicating that the user does not wish to be tracked across websites. There is no industry consensus on how to respond to Do Not Track signals, and Dockside does not currently respond to them. Dockside does, however, honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described in Section 6.4.

7. Current Cookie Inventory

The table below lists the specific Cookies and similar technologies currently in use on the Site. This inventory is reviewed periodically and may change as the Site evolves. If you have questions about a specific Cookie not listed here, please contact Dockside at the address in Section 10.

8. Consequences of Declining Cookies

Declining strictly necessary Cookies will prevent core functions of the Site from working properly, including the customer portal, the registration funnel, and payment processing. Declining functional Cookies will reduce the convenience of using the Site but will generally not prevent core functions. Declining performance and analytics Cookies will not affect the operation of the Site. Declining marketing and advertising Cookies (if any are in use) will not affect Site functionality but may result in less relevant marketing communications.

9. Changes to This Cookie Policy

Dockside may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Cookies used on the Site, in applicable law, or in Dockside’s practices. When Dockside does so, Dockside will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Site, the Cookie banner, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Cookie Policy.
