Marine Fuel Delivery

Boat Fuel Delivery in Kalamazoo, Michigan

REC-90 ethanol-free marine gasoline delivered directly to your dock on Kalamazoo County lakes. No driving the boat to a marina, no hauling cans from the gas station, no subscription fees.

The Kalamazoo lake-fueling problem

Kalamazoo County is dense with quality inland lakes — Austin in Portage, Gull near Richland, Indian outside Vicksburg, Crooked and Eagle in Texas Township, Pretty east of Mattawan, the Barton Lake Chain in Schoolcraft Township. Combined shoreline runs into the hundreds of miles. The boats and pontoons on those docks all need fuel.

The standard options aren't great:

  • Trailer the boat to a gas station. Hook up, drive to the nearest Sunoco, BP, or Marathon, fuel up, trailer back, re-launch. Easily a 90-minute round trip per fill, and that's if traffic cooperates. Multiply by every long weekend.
  • Haul fuel cans from your car. A 5-gallon can weighs 30 pounds. Five cans is 150 pounds of awkward dock-walking with vapor-tight containers leaking fuel smell into your trunk. Twenty gallons of fuel barely covers a weekend.
  • Marina fuel docks where they exist. Gull Lake has Gull Lake Marine. Diamond has a marina fuel dock. Paw Paw Lake has Paw Paw Lake Gas and Dock. The other seven lakes Dockside serves don't have a marina fuel dock at all.

Dockside Fuel Services delivers REC-90 ethanol-free marine gasoline directly to your dock — or, for properties without a dock-accessible delivery path, to fuel caddies and cans in your driveway. $30 per dockside trip, $15 per curbside trip, plus fuel at the current REC-90 market rate plus $1.49/gal. No subscription, no membership, no minimum gallons.

Why REC-90 specifically

REC-90 is 90-octane unleaded gasoline with zero ethanol — the fuel marine engine manufacturers (Mercury, Yamaha, Evinrude, Honda) recommend for outboards, sterndrives, and PWCs.

Ethanol attracts moisture, which causes phase separation in tanks that sit unused for stretches — exactly the situation on lakefront properties where the boat might not run for two weeks at a stretch. Phase-separated fuel doesn't burn; it clogs filters, corrodes carburetors, and ruins fuel injectors. Repair bills run hundreds to thousands per engine.

The Pure Gas registry (pure-gas.org) tracks Michigan stations that sell REC-90 at the pump. There aren't many. The marine alternative is what we deliver.
